This page details LandWare's software upgrade policy and includes information on upgrading existing LandWare products.

A maintenance update is a revision that encapsulates software bug fixes and often includes small functional enhancements. Maintenance updates are typically signified by minor version number increments. For example, a maintenance update from version 1.0 would be 1.01, 1.02, etc.

A major upgrade is a revision that involves extensive engineering work to provide significant enhancements to a product and are often accompanied with new documentation.

Registered owners of LandWare software (excluding OEM bundle editions) are entitled to free maintenance updates. Major updates to applications usually incur a small update fee to help cover additional engineering and documentation costs.

To be eligible for free maintenance updates and/or special pricing on major upgrades it is essential you register your product direct with LandWare Inc. To register either:

• Purchase direct from LandWare - registration is automatic.

• Register by mail or fax in the registration card that was included in the software box.

New maintenance updates can be downloaded direct from www.landware.com/support free of charge and installed over the top of the current version you have. It is generally not necessary to remove the previous version beforehand however you should check the list below for special product specific update instructions. Your activation code will automatically activate the new version.

Major upgrades will often require removal of the previous version and a fresh installation of the new version.

Registered owners may purchase maintenance updates and/or minor upgrades on CD-ROM for the an additional $10.00 (inc shipping and handling) by calling 800-526-3977 or emailing sales@landware.com

If you purchase a product and a major upgrade is released within one month of your purchase date you are entitled to a free upgrade to the new major release.
