Date calculations

The Dates form allows you to calculate:

  • Day of the week for any date.

  • Number of days between two dates.

  • Future or past date.

Date Entry modes

Use the Preferences command in the Option menu to set the date input and display format. Two options are available: M/d/y, d/M/y.

To perform date calculations

  • Enter two of the following: First Date, Second Date, or Actual days between dates.

  • Tap the button corresponding to the unknown third variable.

Dates can be entered in the Date fields in the following 3 ways:

  • Manually using the current date format (ie d/M/y)

  • Via the date picker by tapping the Insert date button or by tapping the D key.

  • The current date by pressing the T key.

Example: Days between two dates- Number of days between June 3, 1983 and October 15,1984 (assuming M/d/y mode)

  1. Enter 6/31/83 into the First date field

  2. Enter 10/15/84 into the Second date field

  3. Tap the Actual days between dates button.

  4. 492 will be placed in the Actual days between dates field.

Example: Enter today's date into a Date field.

  1. Place the insertion point (or select) a date field

  2. Press the T key on the keyboard. The current date will be inserted.
